What can we do for you?
Some of our longer term goals are:
- To set new industry standards of calf rearing and set our industry apart as a profession to be valued by our peers.
- To benchmark as a means of measuring ourselves and our profession.
- To become an industry leader in calf health and welfare, raising the bar in calf rearing to an enviable level.
- To introduce an accreditation system which will distinguish the professionals in the industry.
- To continue research and development related to calf health.
- To develop better financial returns for the calf rearing industry.
We are a voluntary organisation made up of everyday rearers who are striving to improve the calf rearing industry. With dedication and a goal in mind, we can make no promises about the future directions, but we strive for betterment of the industry whatever that may entail. All this and more can be achieved if as an association we can build our membership strength.
Membership to the association is open to dairy farmers, contract heifer rearers, bull calf rearers, or to anyone with an involvement in the industry. We welcome new memberships at any time. Membership application forms can be downloaded here; telephone and email contact details can be found here.
