Welcome to the new PCRAA Website. This will be a much easier website for us to work with, so you can look forward to more frequent updates.

The P.C.R.A.A. is a group representing calf rearers from all around Australia; our members rear dairy heifer replacements, bull beef, F1 beef crosses including Wagyus and pink and white veal. Other members are vets, scientists and consultants with an interest in calf rearing.

The P.C.R.A.A. is an industry group with three main aims:

• To represent the common interests of professional calf rearers’ in Australia. To represent the common interests of professional calf rearers’ in Australia.
• To provide a forum for communication among calf rearers and other stakeholders in the industry
• To attract further resources into the industry e.g. extension services and R&D funds.

All those with a genuine interest in calf rearing and the industry are welcome to join.
Our President, Jeanette Fisher, who runs a dairy heifer consulting business, is happy to give telephone advice to novice calf rearers, or to people who are considering becoming calf rearers. She can be contacted on 0428 867551.

Dr. Jim Lloyd, 0428 500577 will give basic veterinary advice over the telephone to members of the Association.

We have an  annual conference, held near the airport in Melbourne to facilitate travel, no matter where you live. The conference is regarded as a great opportunity to network with other rearers, to exchange tips and ideas, and to encourage and support each other. There is normally a great range of calf related products on display at the conference. We sometimes hold field days or seminars during the year. If you have something/someone interesting in your area, tell us about it as we may be interested in holding an event in your area.
